Welcome to Recycled Crafts!

First of all, I want to say thank you for stopping by and checking out our website. The fans are and will always be what makes this website exist. To start off, here’s a little bit about us…

Our goal with this site is to promote sustainable, functional, and beautiful design by working primarily with recycled or re-used materials. This is the best way to minimize our impact on the earth’s natural resources, climate and the environment. Just because we’re green though doesn’t mean we have to be boring. There is definitely a place for rock ‘n’ roll to jive with environmental responsibility.

In addition to sustainable designs, we almost always encourage functionality–crafts that are just as useful as they are beautiful reduce clutter and allow you to focus in on the practical side of crafting. This is important for both end-user and artist.

Ultimately, creative re-use of materials has the potential to spark new ways of looking at the world–if one object can be turned into another, what else can we change? Successful recycled art and design encourages creativity in all people, so crafting in an eco-friendly way has the potential to turn you into a better artist.
